Letter: Project Graduation was great

Beth Chow, Barb Layman and Susan Mackin Dolan

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

It truly does take a valley to raise a child, and the whole Vail Valley came together to make a safe and memorable night possible for the graduates of Battle Mountain Class of 2008.

Project Graduation was a huge success and all of our graduates are safe and healthy to pursue their dreams for the future.

On behalf of the Project Graduation chairwomen, we would like to thank all the committee chairs, their committee members, the parent volunteers, the generous businesses who donated money and/or their service, all our celebrity waiters, any individual who made a personal donation, all the wonderful diners who came to our celebrity dinner fundraisers, all those who gave items for the silent auctions, the Avon Recreation Center for letting us turn their facility into a Hawaiian beach for the night, the Avon Rec lifeguards and janitors who stayed past 1 a.m., and any other individual or business who was a part of this wonderful night.

Many endless hours were spent on this event and without everyone’s time, dedication and hard work, our graduates would not have had this special night together.

From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough. We are very fortunate to live in a place that cares about our children, and to everyone we are extremely grateful. Good luck to the graduates of the Battle Mountain High School Class of 2008!
