Letter: Regional help kept fire at bay
Blue Creek Ranch near Carbondale
Vail CO, Colorado
On behalf of our fellow neighbors near Catherine Store, we would like to sincerely thank all of the regional firefighters and public safety officials for their tireless work on the County Road 100 fire over the past 36 hours. Our home at Blue Creek Ranch was one of several hundred that was threatened by Tuesday’s fire and heroically saved by the hard-working dedication of our local men and women.
We are still amazed that a 1,000-acre fire on the valley floor did not totally destroy any structures!
I know Tuesday night was a long night for many of you (as it was for us) and we don’t want your efforts to go unnoticed. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
