Artistic Director, Vail Valley Music Festival
Vail, CO Colorado

For a community that is now not only a major ski resort but also a major art center with its fabulous galleries, its world class dance and music festivals, a community that is undergoing an extraordinary multi-billion dollar renovation, it is unthinkable that the one bookstore in Vail may not survive. I second the suggestion of a town subsidy. Something must be done to provide this wonderful independent bookstore a lifeline to continue its extraordinary contribution to making Vail a town that offers the best of everything to everyone.
