Letter: The whole story in Minturn
Minturn, CO Colorado
My fiance and I have rented in Minturn for the last eight months and just recently closed on a house there. We’ve tried to keep up on the Ginn project through the paper and television.
Recently we’ve really looked at both sides because of the petition issue and how it would affect our investment. The town put out information (www.minturn.org/battleMtn/index.html) and so did a resident named Frank Lorenti (www.minturntimes.com/). Basically we came to the conclusion that the town did a lot of work that was good but not perfect. Mr. Lorenti just didn’t seem to have a strong case. We were bothered that Mr. Lorenti didn’t link to the town site where all the documents are. He should.
We will not sign the petition because if we sat in the council’s seat we would have voted the same way.
