Letter: Too much jumping in Vail
We recently skied for 10 days at Vail. Over and over again we saw skiers/boarders jumping in areas where it was clearly marked “No Jumping” and shushing at high speeds in “slow please” areas. Areas with many slow, less experienced skiers. What we didn’t see was one ski patrol or any effort to curb these dangerous practices. Why?
And why don’t these “expert” high speed skiers/boarders use the expert terrain? Or is it that they really aren’t that expert?
