Letter: Vail vandals won’t confess

Barrett Chow,Avon

The two Battle Mountain kids who have already been caught for their vandalism didn’t give up their comrades. Why does the Town Council think that embarrassing them in front of a group is going to get their confession out? Demanding “Do it now!” is only making them feel better because they know something you don’t.

Right now I want to say that the crew who cleaned up the Donovan Pavilion did a tremendous job making the building look stunning for prom. Anyways, the two kids who were being scolded at Tuesday’s meeting know the severity of their crime, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see another slip-up from the class of ’09. Personally, I think that putting those two in a room and telling them that what they did was wrong and to give up their friends is completely absurd. I believe Assistant Principal Phillip Qualman when he says that he could get a confession out of them from his own office.
