Letter: Vail’s wireless Internet woes

I not only endorse what your editorial, “Where’s the value?” but can go one better. I subscribed for the monthly paid wireless Internet service through CenturyTel and the signal strength is either low or very low. The connection drops out all of the time and it takes a long time to download and to send and receive e-mails. I have been calling the company to complain, and they tell me that I am only 140 feet from one of their nodes in the village core.

In the past 48 hours after they promised to fix it, I am still mired in the same situation and I am sending this e-mail in frustration from another service. I’ll keep calling them but I don’t expect any satisfaction while I’m visiting here.
