Letters: Eagle County taxpayers not represented
Vail CO, Colorado
Miss: To the Eagle County School District. In the search for a new superintendent, the district hired the Colorado Association of School Boards. They will meet with several groups of district staff and employees, and selected parents. They will decide “what kind of person” we want leading Eagle County schools.
We? Where is the “we” here? I do not see any group made up of district shareholders and owners, also known as voters and taxpayers. How can we hope to improve the performance of our schools (or foster competition) if the district insists on continual inbreeding to hire leaders?
This process will not lead to positive changes.
