Letters: Let the stranded ski Vail

Weston Bierma
Vail CO, Colorado

It is 8 a.m. Monday morning and I-70 is closed both directions from Vail to Georgetown. As we all know our pass is restricted until Jan. 1. I called the head office and Lionshead ticket office inquiring whether the restrictions would be lifted due to the fact that we can’t go anywhere else! I was promptly told no.

Shame on Vail for trying to suck every last dime out of the people who live and work here. No one could give me a straight logical answer as to why they should restrict people from skiing when they can’t physically go anywhere but here this morning. Not to mention all Front Range season pass holders who they want to stop during the

holiday are stuck everywhere but here.

I refuse to pay for anything more than my merchant pass. I am proud to say that I have never even bought a snack, drink, or lift ticket from Vail. I plan to continue my two-plus year glorious streak well into the future.
