Support Ron Paul

Thanks to the perceptive young people supporting Ron Paul with letters and enthusiasm. This country needs change and quick.

Ron Paul still is nearly unknown to the American people because the large corporate media wants it that way. He is the only candidate for president that isn’t already bought and paid for, and so they fear him. But Ron Paul isn’t unknown in Washington D.C.

Here’s why:

He has never voted to raise taxes.

He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.

He has never voted to raise congressional pay.

He has never taken a government-paid junket.

He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.

He voted against regulating the Internet.

He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.

He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

He really stands out in Washington. Now is the time to send your support, in advance of the first primaries which are about a month away. Donations now will do way more good than money sent after the primaries.

Go to Paul’s Web site and read his speeches ” you’ll be inspired.

Get out of the bars

Editor’s note: This letter is in reference to the feature “In the Moment ” A Glimpse of Valley Life” that runs in the paper’s Arts and Entertainment section.

This is a full page of photos that appears in the Vail Daily frequently. I’d like to suggest that the Vail Daily come out of the bars and check out what is really going on in the valley.
