Lewd text messages yield conviction for Colorado man
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Lewd photos and text messages sent by a 21-year-old Highland Ranch man led to a conviction on sexual exploitation charges.
Daniel Zane Rigsby was found guilty by a Colorado Springs jury Friday of sending the messages to a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Rigsby met the unnamed girl on a social networking site in 2007. Authorities were tipped off about the exchanges, and a Colorado Springs detective started posing as the girl.
Rigsby was acquitted of similar charges involving another girl. He faces two to six years in prison in a Sept. 25 sentencing.
The Vail Valley’s real estate market has long been an unusual one, with very expensive sales accounting for a large share of the market’s dollar volume. That means a few sales can have a large impact on volume.
