The Eagle Public Library will kick off the 2012 holiday film matinee series with a free screening of the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The library will screen a special matinee every other Sunday throughout the month of December, with “A Christmas Story” scheduled for Dec. 16 and “Bridget Jones’ Diary” on Dec. 30.

“‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ is probably the most well-known holiday classic movie,” said Robyn Bryant, adult services librarian at the Eagle Public Library. “Though it portrays the stereotypical spinster librarian in that one memorable scene, I have to admit that it is one of the very best oldies.”

Now Showing @ EVLD offers film screenings throughout the year. All film screenings are free and open to the public. Films may not be appropriate for all audiences. Visit http://www.evld.or for more information.
