Lighting hits at least 3 in Rocky Mountain Park
ESTES PARK, Colorado ” Rocky Mountain National Park officials say at least three people have been struck by lightning near a remote lake but are hiking back to a trailhead.
Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says a fourth person may also have been hit in the Tuesday afternoon strike, but rangers had not confirmed that.
Patterson says the three confirmed victims, two males and a female, were hit at 12:20 p.m. near Mills Lake.
The park is about 50 miles northwest of Denver.
