Linda Brophy has new job at Vail hospital

VAIL ” Vail Valley Medical Center recently announced that Linda Susan Brophy has accepted the position of chief nursing officer.

“We are extremely fortunate and excited to have Linda as part of our senior management team,” said Greg Repetti, president and CEO of Vail Valley Medical Center. “Linda’s leadership skills and her commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety set a standard that I am confident will inspire our entire clinical team.”

Brophy earned her master of public health degree, as well as her master of nursing degree from the University of Washington. She earned her bachelor of science nursing degree from Syracuse University.

Brophy’s previous positions at the hospital include vice president of Quality Resource Management, associate chief of Clinical Services, and Infection Control and patient safety officer. A captain in the U.S. Public Health Service, Brophy worked at the Food and Drug Administration in Washington, D.C., before joining the Vail Valley Medical Center in June of 2001.
