Litt returns to Vail Jazz Foundation
VAIL, Colorado – After a four year hiatus, Robin Litt has returned to the Vail Jazz Foundation as its executive director.The 17th annual Vail Jazz Festival wrapped up just weeks ago with record attendance and increased ticket sales. The festival hosted over 13,000 attendees at its 26 summer events. Events on both Saturday and Sunday nights of Labor Day Weekend sold out, while the Vail Marriott, the event’s host hotel, also reached capacity.”I am really happy with how the Vail Jazz brand is catching on after our phenomenal summer festival,” said Howard Stone, Vail Jazz Foundation’s founder and chairman of the board. “I welcome Robin back to the Jazz Foundation to lead our organization as it matures. I know Robin’s ability to bring parties together will be instrumental in continuing the extraordinary growth the Vail Jazz Foundation has experienced in the past few years.”Litt, raised in New York City in a musical family, came to Vail in 1989. She spent her first 13 years with Vail Resorts. Subsequently, Litt served as the Vail Valley Partnership’s vice president of partnership.She has spent the past four years in development and fundraising for Vail Mountain School and the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum. The 17-year-old nonprofit Vail Jazz Foundation is dedicated to jazz through the presentation of performances and education.
