Local arborist gets national accreditation

EAGLE COUNTY – Mark Stelle, president of Precision Tree Works, Inc., has recently been accredited by the American Society of Consulting Arborists as a registered consulting arborist.

Stelle joins a group of approximately 175 consulting arborists in the United States who hold the distinction. He is currently western Colorado member of the association, which was founded in 1967.

To obtain the designation, a candidate must meet requirements for technical education, diagnostic experience, technical writing and produce a series of consulting reports that meet professional review standards.

Registered consulting arborists do the following jobs: landscape tree evaluation, appraisals, insect and disease diagnosis, development-related tree preservation and hazard assessment, among others.
