A U.S. Ski Team veteran, Sarah Schleper came up through the Ski Club Vail ranks. By the age of 16, she made her first appearance on the World Cup circuit. A technical specialist, Schleper’s appeared in three Winter Games, finishing 10th, her best Olympic finish of her career, February in Torino, Italy. Her crowning moment came last season when she got her first win on the World Cup in the World Cup Finals slalom in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
Endurance athlete Josiah Middaugh spends his summers doing off-road triathlons and his winters in snowshoe races and other events in the multi-sport endurance arena. Adopted at the age of 3 from South Korea by two Vail ski instructors, Toby Dawson has won World Cups in his freestyle career. But he rose to national prominence at the Torino Winter Olympics in February by winning the bronze medal in freestyle moguls. In short, he kicks ass.
