Local businesswoman earns national recognition

EAGLE COUNTY ” An Eagle-based business owner is one of eight women entrepreneurs honored in the national “Make Mine a $Million Business” program. The program recognizes female small business owners whose companies have passed $1 million in revenue.

The local winner is Kris Wittenberg, founder and president of SayNoMore! Promotions of Eagle, a company that sells promotional products to businesses. Wittenberg bought and built office space for her business in 2006, increased her company’s 2006 revenues by more than 60 percent and doubled her staff.

SayNoMore! Promotions is featured in a national advertising campaign for the American Express Simply Cash Card. American Express is a sponsor of the “Make Mine a $Million” program.

Make Mine a $Million Business is a program of Count Me in for Women’s Economic Independence, a not-for-profit organization that bills itself as the only national initiative committed to the growth needs of established, women-owned businesses with less than $1 million in annual revenues.
