Local comics featured at Brush Creek Monday

Vail Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

Eagle locals Jordan Doll and Brett Hiker (Heicher) will be among the featured comics at a special comedy night at the Brush Creek Saloon in Eagle tonight. Expect an evening of laughs with both local and visiting comics. The show will begin at 8 p.m.

Heicher, who performs under the pseudonym “Brett Hiker,” began his comedy career in Albuquerque where he was one of the 12 finalists in the “Southwest Laugh Off,” a contest searching for the funniest comic in the Southwest corner of the country. He has performed across the U.S. as well as in some international cities including Berlin and Amsterdam. He recently competed in the “New Faces” competition at Denver’s Comedy Works.

Doll, who recently graduated from Metro State College in Denver, is a household name on the Denver comedy circuit. He is the founding member of the “Four Swanky Gents Classy Comedy Show,” a weekly event every Sunday at Kingas on East Colfax in Denver; and has also appeared at Improv in Denver.

Both comics, who do their own joke-writing, are also part of the crew on the Denver comic website “I Stole Your Baby.com.”

Although their former Eagle Valley High School teachers might dispute the fact, this is the first time Doll and Hiker have (officially) taken the stage in Eagle.
