Local comics return to valley
August 20, 2010
EAGLE, Colorado – Local comics Jordan Doll and Brett Hiker are returning to the Eagle Valley for an entire week of comedy shows – and they are bringing their comedy troupe with them.
Their mini-tour starts with a return to the Brush Creek Saloon in Eagle on Monday at 8 p.m. Their last show at the Brush Creek Saloon was to a standing room-only crowd, so get there early and take advantage of the drink specials and no cover.
This time around Doll and Hiker will be joined by a new group of comics including Denver regulars Roger Norquist and Sam Tallent. Due to popular demand, Aspen resident and local favorite Mark Thomas will also be returning, as is frequent collaborator Nate Balding.
Another local comic, Liz Ferron of Edwards, will join the group on Tuesday for a special performance at Bob’s Place in Avon. Ferron has toured nationally for nine years, and works during the day as a morning DJ for a Denver radio station. She is a regular favorite at Denver Improv.
Doll, Hiker, and the rest of the crew will be in the area doing shows all week. Shows are slated at Bob’s Place in Avon on Tuesday, Paddy’s in Eagle-Vail on Wednesday, and Loyal Brother’s Lounge in Glenwood Springs on Thursday. All shows start at 8 p.m., include great drink specials and no cover charge.
Doll, Hiker, and Balding are part of the Denver-based sketch and stand-up comedy troupe “I Stole Your Baby,” and their comedy can be found on istoleyourbaby.com. They will also be in Glenwood Springs on Saturday, Aug. 28 performing at the Bayou Restaurant and Bar at 9 p.m.
