Local fine art photographer wins first place at Cherry Creek gallery

EDWARDS – Fine art photographer Raymond A. Bleesz of Edwards won first place at the sixth annual Winter Open Juried Show at the Photographers’ Gallery in Cherry Creek North for his black and white photo “Citroen, Duex Chevaux, 2vc, Le Canard.” The theme of the show was “Planes, Trains, Automobiles.”The two photographs Bleesz submitted were classic images of specific vehicles representing two different automotive cultures as well as two different methods of printmaking.

“Citroen, Duex Chevaux, 2vc, Le Canard” is an image of a specific French automobile, the Citroen. It was taken in the village of Chateauneuf du Pape in France. The other photo accepted into the exhibition was “Ford F100,” a photograph of an early Ford 1953 pickup truck.The exhibition runs for the month of January.
