Local Republicans’ fundraiser set for June 11

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Eagle County Republicans will hold their annual – and only – fundraiser, the Lincoln Day Dinner, June 11 at the Vail Golf Club. This year’s program is billed as an evening filled a combination of humor, political insight and preparation for the 2012 elections.
State Senator Shawn Mitchell will be the master of ceremonies and keynote speaker for the event, and State Representative Don Coram will join him in presenting some enlightening perspectives on the current political climate in Colorado.

AVON, Colorado – The Avon Police Department will join in the nationwide May Mobilization “Click it or Ticket” campaign, May 23 through June 5.
Colorado law requires all drivers and front seat passengers to wear seat belts. The minimum fine is $65 per violation. The driver is also responsible for properly restraining young passengers in the front and back seats. The minimum fine for violating the state’s child passenger safety law is $82.
