Local vocalist Kathy Morrow to play Roaring Fork Jazz Party

Special to the DailyLocal musician Kathy Morrow will perform with Harry Allen, Warren Vache and Walk Smith in Snowmass Thursday for a straight-ahead jazz celebration.

SNOWMASS – The Roaring Fork Jazz Party teams with The Valley Jazz Concert Series to bring Harry Allen and Warren Vache together with Walt Smith and his Jazz Band, including volcalist Kathy Morrow; Clark Gault, trombone; Ed Stevens, guitar; Mark Grey, bass; and Bert Dahlander, drums. This all happens at the Silvertree Hotel, Caberet Room, in Snowmass Village on Thursday. The afternoon session begins at 2 p.m. and a more formal performance with cocktails starts at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing until midnight. The whole package is $100, the afternoon session is $25 and the evening music is $40, with dinner it’s $75. Also available at this concert will be two new CD’s of Walt Smith’s. This night will be dedicated to Maury Allen Harry’s father, who started the Valley Jazz Concert Series which is dedicated to bringing jazz to the valley for all to enjoy.
