If you haven’t ever been a participant in the Eagle County cleanup, you’d better clean up your act.

There’s little to be said about the cleanup ” you don your grubbies and gloves, grab a day-glo orange vest, and pick up the crap that some jerk threw out their car window. And some of that stuff is pretty gross.

Doesn’t matter, though, because you’ll be rubbing elbows with your buddies, neighbors and anyone else who wants to see our valley at its best ” and that should be everyone who lives here. So, if you weren’t there, you were missed.

It’s truly one of the feel-good events of the valley, rain or shine. After you’re truly disgusted with human refuse, you’re treated to a fabulous barbecue and music with all those other generous souls who joined you on Interstate 70 or Highway 6. Then, you’ll go home all sore and sunburned.

Can’t beat it with a stick. See you next year!
