Tess Backhus' latest work is inspired by the wide open spaces of the Colorado countryside, she said.

EDWARDS — Tess Backhus returns to Asian Village in Edwards Monday through Thursday showing her new collection. She and husband, Tom, recently moved to Colorado's North Fork Valley where she is discovering a new creative process.

"I have a renewed appreciation of the Colorado countryside," she said. "My new collection can be seen as organic farm-to-table," she laughed. "I've been re-imagining color pairings, unexpected textures and lengths, effortless simplicity, all inspired by the luxury of open spaces."

Backhus is well-known for making classic look modern with an elegance of detailing which is all her own.

"Our customers come back year after year to enjoy talking with Tess and the experience of touching her one-of-a-kind creations and experimenting with effortless new looks," said Asian Village owners Susan Bristol and UnChu Ring.

Backhus will be at the Edwards store, located across from Starbucks in the Riverwalk at Edwards, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Call UnChu or Susan at 970-926-6188 for information, visit the store, or check out http://www.asianvillageantiques.com.
