Look who’s singing

Andrew Harley

Kids sing for kids today at local elementary schools, as the Regional Touring Choir – 38 students – of the Colorado Children’s Chorale puts on a series of shows on Monday.

The shows will last approximately 30 minutes, and the venues are Vail Mountain School, Red Sandstone Elementary and Brush Creek Elementary.

“The shows will be interactive and high-energy,” said Colorado Children’s Chorale representative Beth Christopher. “The shows will hopefully get kids excited for the workshop this June at Ford Amphitheater.”

The Colorado Children’s Chorale presents their 15th Annual Workshop in Performance for the children of the Vail Valley from June 9th-13th at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.

High-energy and highly-motivated boys and girls, ages 8-11 who love to sing and perform are invited to sign up. 80 spots are available for local children, and acceptance will be based on the date the application is received.

The workshop is free due to sponsorship by the Vail Valley Foundation.

The workshop will conclude with a performance featuring local participants in collaboration with the Colorado Children’s Chorale at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, on Sunday, June 13th, at 2 p.m.
