Guzman benefit today

Brianna Guzman’s family is trying to raise money for special therapy treatments for Brianna, who reacted severely to a vaccination in 1997, suffering considerable brain damage. In 1997, Kim Guzman took her perfectly healthy 2-month-old daughter, Brianna, to the pediatrician for standard vaccinations. A few hours later, Brianna Guzman stopped breathing. Her brain began to swell and she almost lost her life.

The benefit is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vail Neck and Back Pain Center, 2109 N. Frontage Road in Vail. It costs $25, and the donation gets you a consultation, exam and adjustment. The event also includes prizes, a raffle, aura readings, face painting, balloons, massages and a book signing with Jeani-Rose Atchison who wrote “Every Day a Vegan.” Call 477-2225.
