Love For the Locals event Thursday in Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK – The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) will host a “Love for the Locals” event in its May Gallery on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. to officially kick-off this year’s Underground Sound Concert Series.

The event is free and open to the public and will include appetizers and food selections from The Dusty Boot and beer samplings from Mountain Beverage Company, as well as Vilar Center ticket giveaways. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to preview music and learn more about the artists playing the Underground Sound concert series this fall.

Available for purchase at the event will be the transferable Underground Access Pass, which provides holders with tickets to all seven concerts in the off-season series, along with one free drink (beer, wine, soft drink or bottled water) at each show, all for $98. Passes are on sale now through Sept. 25.

The Underground Sound concert series begins on Sunday night at the Vilar Center at 7:30 p.m. with Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin ($45) and continues every Sunday night through Nov. 6.
