Luca Bruno has done it again.

The Vail Village retailer and now fashion forecaster seems to have his sight on the stars.

It came as a surprise to Bruno, when in June, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s baby graced the cover of People magazine in a Kingsley rock ‘n’ roll kids’ tee, a line the Vail store carries.

It was less of a shock to Bruno, he says, when “The Devil Wears Prada,” a recently released film about the New York fashion magazine world, featured another beloved line the store offers.

In the movie, fictitious clothing designer James Holt wows the fashion world with his new spring collection, full of feminine dresses in bold colors and clean lines. Bruno, who had seen the same collection of clothing by TIBI previewed last fall in Los Angeles, quickly acquired the new line for his store in Vail Village.

“I am very excited to be one of the few select boutiques to showcase the designer,” he said. Although Bruno and his wife and business partner Jenn Bruno had no idea the line was part of the movie.

“At first I thought the clothing looked familiar,” Jenn said, who saw the movie Friday with girlfriends. “And then I realized it was TIBI, and we had the same clothes in our store.”
