Ludwig’s and Dom Perignon celebrate Vail’s 50th
VAIL CO, Colorado
VAIL – In continued celebration of Vail’s 50th Birthday, the Sonnenalp’s seafood and fine dining restaurant, Ludwig’s, will host a birthday gala with Dom Perignon on Saturday. The gala offers attendees an opportunity to celebrate the world’s most celebrated ski resort’s big year with the world’s most celebrated champagne.
“We are quite excited to host this gala,” said Hotel Manager Stefan Schmid. “The evening is sure to be fun and offers a host of options to choose from.”
The party will begin at Sonnenalp’s King’s Club from 6:30 to 7 p.m. with a Dom Perignon anniversary reception, which includes a complimentary glass of Dom Perignon, light appetizers and piano entertainment by Britt Herrington. Next, guests will move to Ludwig’s for a four-course celebration dinner. The dinner is $62 per person excluding tax and gratuity. The option to add wine pairings for the meal is available for an additional charge. In addition, attendees have the option to purchase one bottle per person of limited edition David Lynch Vintage 2003 Dom Perignon Brut Champagne for the special birthday bash price of $155. Dinner reservations are suggested.
Dom Perignon and the Sonnenalp will also host a limited seating Dom Perignon Vail 50th anniversary VIP dinner in Ludwig’s Stuberl room.
“The Dom Perignon VIP dinner is very special,” said Jarrett Quint, head sommelier at the Sonnenalp. “The dinner will include special vintages in addition to other perks for attendees. This is a can’t-miss event for champagne aficionados and the Sonnenalp is host to one of only 10 such U.S. dinners that Dom Perignon will participate in this year.”
