Eagle County Assessor Joyce Mack is throwing her hat in the ring for another term.”Through the efforts of an accomplished staff and the advancements in appraisal methods, I look forward to another term and thank the residents of Eagle County for their continued support,” Mack said in a press release.Listing her accomplishments, Mack said she reduced the number of appraisal appeals 46 percent, and a sales comparison list was posted on the county’s Web site. She ran three public information campaigns to help property owners understand the assessment process and is combining with the Clerk and Recorder’s Office to confirm physical addresses in the county, which will help programs including the 911 emergency response system.Mack has been an Eagle County resident for 26 years. She is active in the Vail Valley Foundation and the Lions Club. She has been a member of the Bravo! Music Guild for 14 years.Her professional memberships include the Colorado Association of Tax Appraisers, the Colorado Assessors Association and the International Association of Assessing Officers. She was selected as one of Colorado’s representatives to the International Association of Assessing Officers.Vail, Colorado
