Make a holiday gift at the Vail Library Monday
Vail CO, Colorado
VAIL, Colorado ” The Town of Vail Library will provide an afternoon of gift making for children ages 6 to 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday in the community room of the Vail Library. This event is provided for children who have the day off from school to create something special for a loved one. The library will provide the materials and instructions for children to create a holiday gift that they will be proud to present to their mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparent, or anyone else on their gift list.
“The Town of Vail Public Library is pleased to provide this constructive and fun event, at no cost, for children on a day when they are home from school,” said Lori Barnes, town librarian. “Families sometimes find those school closing days to be challenging when kids are home with nothing to do. This day comes on the heels of the Thanksgiving holiday. We are happy to invite families into the library where we will encourage the children to think of someone they care about and to make a gift for that person. It is a way to help children celebrate this holiday season with a generous mindset.”
Numbers are limited; pre-registration is required. Parents are welcome. The event is free. For more information or to register, call 970-479-2179.
