EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Two truckers called 911 Tuesday morning to report a man who had pulled a gun on them.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call, which came in a 7:23 a.m., that a man pulled a gun at 800 U.S. Highway 6.
Sheriff’s Office deputies found the vehicle in Edwards and did what they call a “high-risk traffic stop.”
The suspect, 29-year-old Tobin Ethington, of Cortez, Colo., was intoxicated and under the influence of drugs, said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shannon Cordingly.
Ethington was allegedly driving a vehicle that was stolen in Rifle Monday night. Deputies arrested Ethington and he was transported to the Vail Valley Medical Center to get checked out before being sent to the Eagle County Jail.
