EAGLE COUNTY – A Grand Junction man was killed and a woman was injured when their truck slid off Interstate 70 on Sunday. Larry D. Larry Simpson later died at the hospital and Coleen Simpson was treated for minor injuries. Both were wearing their seat belts. Earlier in the day, an accident involving a motorcycle severely injured an Arizona man on state Highway 131. Police believe Jonathan Scott Gardner, 19, of Sun City, was driving north on the road when his 1990 Yamaha Raider skidded into the southbound lane and struck a Toyota pickup truck driven by Lawrence L. Liang of Las Vegas. Gardner was thrown from the motorcycle. He was flown to Denver General Hospital in critical condition. Neither Liang nor his passenger, Brad L.
