Marian Rose Martinez Salazar 1964-2016

Marian Rose Martinez Salazar, 51, of Minturn, passed away on Friday in Aurora. She was born on Sept. 17, 1964, in Denver. She married Andrew D. Salazar on May 28, 1983, in Denver. Marian graduated from high school and continued her lifelong learning by becoming a successful entrepreneur. She brought so much happiness to the Vail Valley as the proud owner of Party Central. She was a leader in her community and a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Minturn, as well as a catechism teacher.

Marian achieved all of her hopes and dreams, especially when she was helping others reach their own. Marian was a true artist on paper and in business. She was a child at heart and surrounded her world with music, color and imagination. She enjoyed many different things including being a DJ, an artist, a comedian, a puppeteer, a chef, a gymnast, an accountant, a party planner and one cool chick.

Marian is survived by her husband, Andrew, of Minturn; daughter LeeAnna Salazar, of Minturn; son Andrew “Juju” Salazar, of Minturn; and daughter Alexis Salazar, of Minturn; as well as a large extended family and countless friends. She is proceeded in death by Frank J. Martinez, Ellen G. Martinez, Grace H. Rodarte and Shelly J. Fuller.



A visitation will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Minturn with a rosary service to follow at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Minturn. A reception will follow burial, at the St. Patrick Spirit Center.
