VAIL, Colorado – The Summer Wine and Spirits series kicks off at Marketplace on Meadow Drive Wine Shop Sunday. Bring dad in to savor the flavors of Arizona Stronghold. Three blends will be poured, including Tazi, Mangus and Chupacabra.

The Tazi is an aromatic white blend consisting of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malvasia Bianca, Pinot Gris and Riesling. The Arizona Stronghold Magnus is a Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Merlot. Finally, the Chupacabra is a Cabernet based blend comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Syrah and Petite Verdot, this tricky wine shows both a dark and a light side and will keep you guessing.

Founders Eric Glomski and Maynard Keenan joined forces in 2007 to form Arizona Stronghold with the mission of putting Arizona on the map in the world of wine.

“These wines are a great example of a high quality product that is very affordable,” said Court Fable, owner/operator of the Wine Shop at Marketplace on Meadow Drive.

The tasting will occur during Vail’s popular Farmers’ Market. The tasting is free and reservations are not required. Free parking is located at the Vail Transportation Center. Marketplace on Meadow Drive is located in Vail Village, at the corner of Meadow Drive and Willow Bridge Road, just west of the International Bridge. From the Transportation Center, head west on Meadow Drive. For more information, call 970-477-4370.
