Special to the DailyThe production crew for Matchstick Productions' newest film, "Focused," traveled from the terrain parks of Colorado to remote peaks in Alaska and Norway.

The world of freeskiing seems to evolve at a rapid pace. One of the major reasons for this constant evolution are the inspiring spectacles Matchstick Productions has dedicated its business to.

Matchstick Productions has booked the Cascade Village Theatre in Vail for two showings of its newest freeskiing and snowmobiling extravaganza, “Focused,” tonight at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

“Focused” showcases a helicopter load of world-class skiers, including Seth Morrison, Shane McConkey, C.R. Johnson, Pep Fujas, Sarah Burke, Wendy Fisher, Eric Pollard, Hugo Harrisson, Mike Wilson, Jay Quinlan and Vincent Dorion.

Morrison highlights the film with his rodeo 720s, Quinlan sticks a back flip on his snowmobile, McConkey flies off 600-foot cliffs with a parachute on his back.

“These are some the most insane stunts we have ever filmed,” said “Focused” director Murray Wais.

The film was shot at 13 different locations, including Chamonix, Whistler, Squaw Valley, Mammoth Mountain, Jackson Hole and Copper Mountain.
