Maureen Kirsch

Maureen Kirsch, of New York City and Beaver Creek, died at home on Wednesday following an extended illness.

“Mo” and her husband, Geof, have been part-time Beaver Creek residents for many years and have loved and enjoyed all the wonderful experiences and great friendships the Vail Valley has to offer.

During her life, Maureen was a successful sales executive, a life master at bridge, independent film producer, patron of the visual arts and generous champion of inner-city education and female empowerment through micro-finance.

Maureen served on the board of trustees of Opportunity International and the alumni association of Baruch College.

Maureen is survived and will be missed by her husband, Geof, and her step kids Geof, Kate and Jake. She is also survived by her father, Gordon Daly; sister Marleen Karns; brother Gordon Daly; and numerous relatives who will all miss her deeply.

The many people who considered her a best friend or even a casual acquaintance will remember Maureen in high regard as a vibrant, articulate, engaging and caring person ” a truly special friend.

A funeral service will be held in New York on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Maureen Kirsch Memorial Fund at Baruch College in New York.
