Maya in Avon hosts ‘Latin Flavors’ dinner on Friday
AVON — Maya in Avon is hosting two special events this President’s Day weekend: a new Latin Flavors Dinner & Book Signing with acclaimed chef Richard Sandoval on today and a Seduction & Spice Valentine’s Day Dinner on Saturday.
“New Latin Flavors” — Sandoval’s latest cookbook — features more than 125 vibrantly-seasoned Latin dishes inspired by his popular restaurants but streamlined for the home cook.
This special dinner with Sandoval will feature four delicious courses paired with Arta Tequila cocktails. The dinner will begin at 7 p.m., with each guest receiving a personally signed copy of the cookbook. The price is $75 per person and seating is limited; reservations are required at 970-790-5500.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Maya is hosting a special Valentine’s Seduction & Spice Dinner on Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. Priced at $69 for two, each couple can create their own dinner from a special menu, including two cocktails, an appetizer or soup and salad combination (choices include calamari Azteca, queso fundido, crab cake salad and tortilla soup), two entrees (choices include enchiladas, chipotle-rubbed salmon, slow-roasted pork carnitas or carne asada and one dessert (choice of dulce de leche flan or warm Mexican chocolate bread pudding).
