In the 3rd Congressional District, which runs from Pueblo to the Western Slope and includes the western part of Eagle County, U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton handily defeated his challenger, peach farmer Dave Cox, 75 percent to 25 percent.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Incumbent state Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush and former business executive and chemical engineer Chuck McConnell will square off for the right to represent Colorado House District 26 for the second time in three years this fall after McConnell prevailed over Steamboat Springs Realtor Dave Moloney in Tuesday's Republican primary election.
