Meat focus of Saturday grilling class in Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – 8100 at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is continuing its free grilling demonstrations this Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a “meaty” menu.
This week, the menu features a variety of proteins, some of which might not be seen at every neighborhood barbecue – though they may be more prevalent after this demonstration.
The menu includes: tarragon-cardamom-rubbed elk loin with a raspberry sauce; grilled New York strip loin with a brandy-peppercorn-cream sauce; pork skewers with apple, onion, bacon and a curry-mint yogurt; and marinated lamb loin with a chimichuri sauce.
Each grilling class at 8100 features a new recipe demonstrated by the chefs at 8100. Going beyond the usual hamburger and hot dog fare, recipes display the wide variety of cuisine that can be created on a grill. The recipes vary by week, as do the wines paired with each recipe.
The remaining grilling demonstrations will take place on the mountain deck at 8100 on Aug. 8 and Aug. 15. The events include complimentary tasting and beverages, and guests can enter to win grilling gifts and a Weber gas grill compliments of Maximum Comfort Pool and Spas.
After the demonstration is over, guests can enjoy grilled fare at 8100 and receive 30 percent off the entire dinner check from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., including alcohol but excluding tax and gratuity.
