Medical marijuana forum is Monday in Eagle
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado – Eagle River Youth Coalition is holding a forum Monday in Eagle to inform county residents of the effects of medical marijuana, concentrating on the impact on local youth.
The coalition has joined forces with several area agencies, including the Eagle Town Council, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, and Eagle County School District to bring panelists to speak on the changing behavioral developments of our local youth in relation to medicinal marijuana. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, Eagle County Undersheriff Mike McWilliam, and Dr. Drew Werner will address current laws, crime and drug-related statistics, a statewide perspective on medical marijuana, and marijuana’s effect on the adolescent brain and body, and other topics.
Suthers’ visit is prompted by the recent announcement of a Jan. 3 ballot referendum that will be put to Eagle voters.
The forum will be held in the Eagle County Room of the Eagle County Building from 6:30-8 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15.
