Mile High Chapter Choir
This Denver based choir is a chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. which was founded by the late Reverend James Cleveland and is the largest gospel music organization in the world with over 300,000 international members. Dedicated to the perpetuation of gospel music as an original American art form and to promoting it globally, the GMWA holds an annual convention with delegates not only from the United States, but also from the United Kingdom, Africa and the Caribbean.
Members of the Mile High Chapter come from all walks of life with lawyers, teachers, professional singers, business-owners, ministers, grandparents and parents coming “together to seek to promote unity, community, peace, reconciliation and healing to a hurting world through the avenue of gospel music.”
To help achieve this goal the MHCC released its first CD “Healing for a Hurting World” in 1999. The MHCC style of gospel music blends contemporary and traditional gospel with jazz sharing new hope, faith and blessings with all who hear their music.
