Miller Ranch pond now open to the public

EDWARDS – The Miller Ranch pond is open for business, but pond-lovers should pay heed to a few regulations. No swimming is allowed because the pond contains non-treated water. Use of the pond for boating, kayaking, scuba diving and other events must be scheduled in advance. Contact Eagle County Facilities Management at 328-8880 for more information about scheduling events at the pond.Dogs are allowed in the park. They must be leashed or under voice control and within 10 feet of the person responsible for the pet at all times. Dogs are not allowed to swim in the lake between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 1 through Oct. 1 of each year. Pet owners are advised that the pond water is non-potable and untreated. Anyone with questions about pet rules should contact the Eagle County Animal Control Office at 328-3647.Fishing is allowed in the pond with the appropriate fishing license. Alcohol is not allowed except when licensed and permitted by the Eagle County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. That number is 328-8710. Glass containers are prohibited. The pond is still under construction. Remaining projects include landscaping and the installation of signs recreation areas. Work should be completed by mid-September.
