Milonga in the Mountains takes place at Sonnenalp Hotel on Sunday
VAIL — Take your tango to new heights on Sunday. Join the Sonnenalp in conjunction with the Vail International Dance Festival, a project of the Vail Valley Foundation, as they present Milonga in the Mountains.
Whether you’re a tango novice or born with a rose between your teeth, learn tips, tricks and new steps to release your inner tango pro at this special event.
“This day-long event is ideal for all dance levels,” said Johannes Faessler, owner of the Sonnenalp. “Between the dancing, drink specials and our beautiful terrace, this will be the perfect way to spend a beautiful summer day in Vail.”
Guests have three options to choose from: beginner tango lessons with Nick Jones and Diana Cruz from 2 to 3 p.m. for $20 per person; tango master class with Gabriel Misse from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for $20 per person; or free social dancing from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
During the event, guests can treat themselves to Sonnenalp drink specials, including $5 drafts, $6 glasses of select wines and a $6 Tango-tini.
