The town of Minturn will brief the public on its community plan update in an open house on April 7, and is hoping to receive ample feedback on the plan.

The town describes the community plan as a “foundational policy document that establishes a vision for the community and provides a suite of actions and recommendations covering economic development, urban design, housing, transportation and more.”

The community plan was established in 2009, and the current update seeks to create a new series of goals and actions which will chart a path forward for community development in Minturn.

The new plan will incorporate community feedback received at meetings like the April 7 open house. Comments received at a February meeting focus on the 100-Block area of town will also be included in the plan.

A steering committee, made up of 18 Minturn residents, has been selected to provide guidance and feedback during the planning process. The town has also hired a team of consultants including staff from SE Group, Fehr & Peers, StudioSeed, Economic & Planning Systems, and Tetra Tech.
