Minturn seeking volunteers

Daily Staff Report
Vail CO, Colorado

We’re on a Hunt for GREAT Volunteers! Could you be the next GREAT one?

On Tuesday, April 17th at 5:30 pm, YOU ARE INVITED to a VOLUNTEER OPEN HOUSE in the Minturn Town Center.

The Economic Development Department is looking for an assortment of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers that may be interested in helping with events or in serving on committees. All ages are welcome!

By no means do you have to commit to everything, your involvement can be as heavy or as light as you designate.

Prospective events requiring volunteers include: the 2007 Summer Minturn Markets, The Minturn Independence Day Celebration, our Cowboy Poetry Event, Our Halloween Event, and our 2007 Minturn Winter Market.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Do you have some great ideas on an event that we should develop? GREAT! We’re looking to add a special town event this fall “- come to the meeting and let Ashley know about it! We can also use some volunteer committee members — Come to the open house to learn about the Events Committee, the Historic Preservation Committee, the Economic Development Committee and much, much more!
