Missing man’s car found; no sign of him

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado ” A search is being suspended in the disappearance of a Colorado Springs man whose car was discovered over the holiday weekend.

A car belonging to 41-year-old Charles Richard Harper Jr. was found at a Mount Herman campsite, but there was no sign of him.

A group of about 15 El Paso County Search and Rescue team members and two dog teams searched a half-mile radius around the campsite, but turned up nothing.

Harper was last seen at a church in Black Forest on June 8th. He e-mailed a sister three days later, but he hasn’t been heard from since.

Authorities say his credit card and cell phone have not been used.
