More powder expected in Vail Valley

VAIL, Colorado ” More snow is supposed to fall in the Vail Valley between Sunday afternoon and Monday night.
A storm from the West Coast should leave 8 to 14 inches of snow in the Vail Valley and more at higher elevations by Monday night, said Ken Ludington, meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
A snow and blowing snow advisory has been issued with winds from 15 to 25 miles per hour and gusts of up to 40 miles per are hour expected until 6 p.m. Monday, Ludington said.
Beaver Creek Mountain reported 5 inches of new snow and Vail reported 3 inches Sunday. Beaver Creek Mountain has reported 2 feet in the last two days and almost as much has fallen at Vail Mountain during the same time.
