As many of you know, Chris and Gary Scrip’s house caught on fire Dec. 3 on Bellyache Ridge in Wolcott. Luckily, they are both fine, along with their cat. Their house, however, will need major repair. They are unable to reside there until the repair work has been finished. They are between the cleanup and insurance claim.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

It is a lot for them to juggle right now, and they are trying to clean up the mess that was left behind. Many of you have asked what you can do to help, and right now, we could help the most if we came together and made a donation. If you would like to make a donation, please contact U.S. Bank in Edwards and deposit your donation in the “Gary Scrip Catastrophe Fund.” Please also email Mary Ann Metternick to let her know that you have done so, and she will send them a card with all of the donors’ names. Her email address is mettski@centurytel.net.
